Opposite Sides of the world

This entry is an important one to me and I hope I can get my message across to you, my readers.  My guest, Veloshini is a relationship coach and sexologist who lives and works in Johannesburg, South Africa.  Some of you may know, other may not, I was born in Johannesburg, South Africa and moved to the United States when I was three years old.

When I found my guest on X-biz and reached out to ask her if she would like to be a guest on my podcast, I then read her bio and saw that we were both from the same country.  During our interview it was eye-opening to me to learn we both had a similar up-bringing.  The idea instilled in to us to find a good man and make that our main focus.

Although I grew up in America and not under apartheid and Veloshini was raised in South Africa we both came full circle with discovering our sexuality and embracing it.  We both have similar goals to educate others from our personal experiences.  I went a different career path to learn what I know today and Veloshini experienced an abusive marriage and had to escape in order to save herself and set an example for her daughters that the life she was living was not acceptable.

Veloshini has memories from her childhood of being told she must sit in the back of the bus due to her skin color and was chased out of a park that was designated for whites only.  She had to be strong and step out of her comfort zone to follow her new career path.  I too, have had to step out of my comfort zone and put myself out there to help others learn.

Together, we as 2 women from two different countries, came full circle back to accepting ourselves, our passion for sex and our willingness to share our mistakes and help others learn.  It reverts back to what I say again and again, no matter your religion, nationality, color of your skin or what country you are raised, we all bleed the same color,  You must accept each other and most importantly accept you.

You have one life to live, live it for you.
